What is eduroam?

eduroam (education roaming) is the secure worldwide roaming access service for the international research and education community.

The service allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting participating institutions.

Further information at the official eduroam website and the official eduroam Spain website.

How does it work?

When you log on to the wireless eduroam network outside the University of Deusto, your user credentials will be sent to the UD for authentication and authorisation to use the wireless connection of the visited institution.

If you are at one of the University of Deusto’s campuses, the process will be carried out locally.

Configuration guides

If your device/platform is not available on the eduroam CAT, see these guides to connect to eduroam from:

If you have configured eduroam in a device or platform which is not listed here, please send us a short list of the steps to follow, if possible with screenshots. Your contribution may help others.

Installing the certificate in Windows:

  1. Download the certificate.
  2. Right click on the file and choose "Install certificate".
  3. Continue the process until the success message: "Import complete".

The configuration on this website should work in any institution belonging to eduroam. Otherwise, there is probably a problem with the institution you have visited.

Do not accept configurations (or certificates) from an institution other than the University of Deusto, and contact if you are advised to set up eduroam in a different way.
